The episode that we have been waiting for, finally everything is solved and we know all there is to know about Lilly's murder - case closed. What I love about Veronica Mars is that every episode has been leading up to this. Each and every episode gave us a clue about Lilly's murder. We might not have put them together until now but Rob Thomas has thought everything through and that is what makes this show a standout.
This episode had some powerful moments, Veronica learning that Keith is her real father, Keith rescuing Veronica, saying goodbye to Lilly and of course the biggest question of all Who is at the door? Duncan? Logan?
This episode, no this show is television perfection. I can't wait to see what they have in store for season two. Rest easy Veronica its been a long year.
"Incest its what the cool kids are doing."Click to read review - may contain spoilers
At one stage of this episode I was in complete belief that Veronica & Duncan had committed incest and this would have to be the first time in my knowledge that mainstream television would suggest such a taboo topic. But it also gives clear insight into why Duncan cut all ties to Veronica. Something that we learnt some 20 episodes ago! Again points for excellently writing and forethought.
In true Veronica Mars/Rob Thomas style we witness the story change and twist along the way until we learn the truth that it was indeed Duncan who slept with Veronica that night. Veronica also is thrown in the deep end when a surprise Birthday Party for Logan outs their relationship. Logan proves his commitment and shows the door to long time friend Dick. But its Duncan who takes it the hardest.
Keith discovers a witness which proves Abel was with a call girl at the time of the murder throwing the Kane's case into provable question. We end the episode with Veronica discovering video equipment above the bed in Logan's pool house.
Everything is starting to finish up nicely, you can just feel the build up for next weeks episode!

After 22 episodes finally everything fits into place. What strikes me most about Veronica Mars is the writing. Everything is planned, executed and paced so well you don't see anything coming. No episode is standalone everything links together only ever making sense until Rob Thomas wants it to.
We had quite a ride this season: Who killed Lilly Kane? Who raped Veronica Mars? Who is Veronica's biological Father? Plus over 20 other cases along the way. You can't help but connect with the characters. Veronica has this witty strong side that sees her solving cases and helping her father. But she has this softer side aswell, driven to discover who killed her best friend but still finds time for teenage things and boys along the way.
Its great to see a television show targeted towards the teen market which adults can enjoy a like that isn't dealing with tired boring "Dawson's Creek" topics. There is real brains behind Veronica Mars and that is clear every single episode.
What a great season and I hope that Veronica Mars can continue to deliver for season two and if it can its going to be around for a long time to come.
