News: Dollhouse Pilot Scenes to be Reshot

News: Dollhouse

Quite a few Dollhouse fan sites are reporting that Fox has ordered that some scenes of the pilot episode of Joss Whedon's new television series Dollhouse be reshot.

Many could read into this as Fox continuing to medal with Joss's vision. But this may just be that Fox's plans to have less advertising during Dollhouse means that a few extra minutes are needed to fill the gaps.

Fox have also taken a step to better communicate with would be fans by starting their own blog. A welcome change, as many fans blame Fox for Firefly's cancellation.

News: Dollhouse Granted Mid-Season Premier

It would appear that Fox are going to give Dollhouse a Mid-Season Premier later this year. Which is great news for fans of Joss Whedon. With the news of Fox's cancellation of New Amsterdam fresh on my mind I hope that they will give Dollhouse a better chance at success. But Dollhouse already had a large fan base in the wings, so I don't think I need to be so concerned.
I'm told FBC has picked up Joss Whedon's new Dollhouse (20th Century Fox TV) for mid-season. Given his rabid Whedonesques, who don't take rejection well, I don't see how the network could have said no this time around.

News: Dollhouse starts shooting today!

Joss Whedon is again going to grace our screens with his latest endeavour entitled "Dollhouse" which begins shooting today.

Eliza Dushku (Buffy [Faith], Tru Calling [Tru] is playing the lead role as Echo.
"Each is a member of a group of people known as "Actives" or "Dolls" who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas, including memory, muscle memory, skills, and language, for different assignments. They're then hired out for particular jobs, crimes, fantasies, and occasional good deeds. In between tasks, they are mind-wiped into a child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/laboratory, a hidden facility nicknamed "The Dollhouse". The story follows Echo, who begins, in her mind-wiped state, to become self-aware."
As a huge Whedon fan I look forward to watching the series later this year!
