Review: The Power of 10

The Power of 10 / Channel Nine/ Episode One
"What percentage of Australia's found this entertaining?"

If you can answer ten quirky questions in a row you can go home with one million dollars. That's the basic idea behind Channel 9's new game show which premiered tonight. Sounds easy and entertaining? Well you're wrong on both fronts.

The questions seem straight forward and are based on a survey of a small percentage of Australians. It's the answers that are the problem, had to gauge and are as good as random, its verging on a game of chance. The opening question for the show was: "What Percentage of Men claim to have man boobs?" This is classy entertainment at its best...

Channel Nine are really scraping the barrel here. The show has little entertainment value and the attempt at tension raising tactics of watching a bar go up and down a screen is overused and tiresome.

It lacks the appeal of Deal or No Deal and the intelligence of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I think once the ratings are in Nine will quickly pull the plug.
