Review: Veronica Mars: Credit Where Credit's Due

"Great television."

On a whole Veronica Mars is going to be a formula show. Week by week Veronica is going to help solve mini mysteries and we'll be given more pieces of the puzzle until Veronica cracks the two bigger mysteries - Lilly's Murder & her loss of innocents. But unlike similar formula shows Veronica Mars pulls it off beautifully.

Where formula shows go wrong is when there is a lack of character development or interesting stories - Burn Notice is a good example of this. But I have a lot of confidence that Veronica is going to continue to shine.

Again creative and clever writing are at the forefront of this episode. The way that the Weevil's case unfolds with twists and turns is extremely well planned and executed. Also we're given another clue into Lilly's murder as part of the story and we don't realise until the closing scene. Plus Veronica's Dad is hiding something.

So many layers to this show and so many things going on at once! This is television at its best.
