Summary: Californication: Season 1

Season 1 / Californication / Summary
"A show like this doesn't come along very often. Tune in and watch hard."

Right from the get go we knew that Californication was different, that it came to the forefront to offer something different. And we welcomed it with open arms. Californication offered something fresh, raw and extremely exciting. Californication was ground breaking. Crude in a sense yes, but there was so much more under the surface.

This caused a lot of ripples in the religious communities and again I'd like to say: Don't like the content, don't watch the show! Sure there may have been a few naked ladies, but at the core this was a love story. A man trying to get his family back together.

What a ride, from the get go, I was hooked. The show being renewed when it hadn't even finished was an excellent sign. The writers kept it fresh, kept it real. The season was next to flawless, there is really nothing to improve on.

With this in mind I seriously look forward to season two and wonder how things will end for Hank & Karen. If you can handle a little chilli in your hot dog then Californication is a show you shouldn't miss. Until next time...

Review: Californication: The Last Waltz

Season 1 / Episode 12 / "The Last Waltz"
"Perfection, nothing more nothing less."

Californication has delivered episode in episode out. There hasn't been a low point, nothing but getting better and better each and every episode. Sure some might find things a little crude, ok maybe very crude. But life is crude, depending how you live it.

This is my favourite show of the year, characters that just leap off the page into your living room. Stories that are unreal yet so believable. Everything that a TV show should be, that is Californication.

What an ending, never a dull moment! I look forward to seeing what happens next! Good night Californication until next time!

Review: Californication: Turn The Page

Season 1 / Episode 11 / "Turn the Page"
"Between the graphic sex scenes this show has soul."

Between the graphic sex scenes this show has a soul. Its truly pure at heart. There is no way that Karen is meant to be with Bill, it is clear to us viewers, I only hope that Karen can pick up on this before its too late. See how much this show gets to me? They are characters on a Television Show I'm talking like they are real people.

Next week is the season finale, and I'm worried about what will become of the Karen & Hank story. This is fast becoming my favourite series of the year. The characters are so true to life.

Only next week's episode will provide us with the answers and the fate of Karen & Hank.

Review: Californication: The Devil`s Threesome

Season 1 / Episode 10 / "The Devil's Threesome"
"Well, where do I even start on this episode?"
Click to read review - may contain spoilers

Well if the Church groups weren't mad, they are now! What a ground breaking episode. Where no other episode has gone before Californication is the first to bring your attention to this little hop topic...

Besides that what a great plot twist. Mia is claiming the novel as her own and getting it published with Hank's own publisher!

Another cutting edge episode with story to back it.

Review: Californication: Filthy Lucre

Season 1 / Episode 9 / "Filthy Lucre"
"Creativity at its best."
Click to read review - may contain spoilers

Look I've already expressed that I am a complete fan of this show. But things just keep getting better and better. Hank is so determined to get things back on track with Karen. Rumkle goes home to make right with his wife only to find that she's sleeping with the enemy.

This is why we watch television, to be caught up in other people's stories. For one hour to be lost in someone else's troubles. To escape our everyday lifes. And Californication delivers ten fold. What an ending! Hanks new book left in the hands of Mia. Him brand new car stolen & novel stolen!

This is television pay dirt people, television pay dirt!

Review: Californication: California Son

Season 1 / Episode 8 / "California Son"
"A window back in time explaining why Hank Moody is Hank Moody."
Click to read review - may contain spoilers

This episode we see into Hank's past, into his relationship with his father and also why Karen & Hank didn't work out. I love the style that the past is presented in. It has this edgy bright retro feel to it.

Again with a touch of comedy and adult references the story is brought to life in only a way that Californication can get away with. Each and every week Californication brings something new to the screen and that is what keeps me coming back.

Witty writing, great stories and even better characters. What will they have in store next week?
